Manufacturing Quality Engineer Lead

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionQuality LeadJob Responsibilities:·
Oversee and be responsible for United Tool Quality Systems and Compliance·
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, drawings, specifications, and contractual quality standards· Lead internal and external audits (customer, third-party, regulatory)· Maintain controlled documentation including procedures, work instructions, and inspection records· Oversee first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections· Review and approve control plans, inspection plans, and measurement strategies· Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of inspection equipment (CMMs, micrometers, calipers, gauges)· Support production with root cause analysis and corrective actions for machining defects· Lead nonconformance investigations using 5 Whys, Fishbone, and PFMEA· Implement and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)· Respond to customer complaints and corrective action requests (CARs)· Monitor scrap, rework, and quality KPIs· Lead, mentor, and develop quality expectations to hold machinist accountable· Provide training on inspection methods, GD, and quality standards· Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement· Manage supplier quality performance and corrective actions· Conduct supplier audits as required· Interface with customers on quality issues and auditsRequirements:•5+ years of quality experience in a CNC machining or manufacturing environment•2+ years in a leadership role preferred• Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and GD• Experience with CMMs and inspection tools• ISO 9001 / AS9100 / IATF experience• Aerospace, automotive, or medical machining backgroundBenefits:Competitive salaryPosition available on 1st (flexible start/end times)Health insurancePaid time offCareer growth opportunitiesInterested?
