Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED required. Technical training, machining certification, or completion of a CNC machining program preferred. Additional manufacturing or precision machining coursework is a plus.

Experience Requirements

2+ years of CNC machinist, CNC operator, or CNC setup experience preferred. Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Proficient in using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Strong attention to detail, quality control skills, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.

Physical Capabilities

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout an entire shift. Capable of lifting, carrying, and moving materials, tools, and machine components as required. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise, metal chips, and industrial equipment. Must have manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Duties

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce high-quality precision parts. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and production instructions to ensure parts meet specifications. Load raw materials, perform tool changes, adjust machine offsets, and make basic machine setup corrections as needed. Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments to verify quality and accuracy. Monitor machine performance, identify production issues, and maintain compliance with quality standards and manufacturing requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all company safety procedures and best practices.
