Senior Product Manager, Legal

Summary We are currently seeking a Senior Product Manager (Legal) to join our Clio Work Team. This role will be based out of one of our Canadian hubs (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto) in a hybrid capacity, or remotely across Canada and/or the United States. Location and Work Arrangement Hybrid role based in Canadian hubs or remote. Expect local CliOns to be in office minimum twice per week where applicable. What your team does Document and legal related workflows are mission critical for any legal practice. Our customers generate, receive and review millions of documents every year. The entire justice system functions through the flow and exchange of documents. Customers need efficient and reliable ways to generate and review a wide variety of documents and automate repetitive drafting at scale. What you’ll work on Product Leadership + Execution: In collaboration with developers and designers drive successful outcomes, establish key outcomes and metrics, and operate in a rapidly changing dynamic environment. Cutting edge technology: Envision how to leverage AI to radically improve the practice of law. Strategy and Prioritization: Drive customer and market research, identify opportunities, develop unbiased business cases, determine priorities, and pivot when necessary. Market and Customer Understanding: Develop strong relationships with customers, engage in constant communication, and deepen market understanding. Systems Integration: Partner with engineering to drive the unification of horizontal workflows. Partnerships: Act as product liaison for partnerships, focusing on technical complexities and user experience considerations with third‑party services. What you bring Proven track record of independently taking multiple products or features from ideation to successful launch and landing. Strong track record of meaningful accomplishments, including outside traditional work experience. Entrepreneurial mindset; proactive, resourceful, and naturally take ownership. Strong curiosity and self‑reliance; able to figure things out independently in ambiguous situations. Holistic product thinking from user experience to pricing and internal tooling. Systems thinking to connect workflows, tools, customer needs, and business outcomes. Design and document key workflows, especially where documents and structured processes are involved. Success in stretch roles and senior responsibilities. Bonus points if you have Founder or co‑founder experience. Legal expertise or experience working in the legal industry. Adjacent experience with other judicial solutions that complement legal subject matter expertise. Experience with AI‑assisted document automation. Knowledge of document standards, especially in the legal industry (e.g., ISO). Successful product launches in global markets. Learning from failures. Strong stakeholder relationship skills at all levels. Track record of breaking down objectives into initiatives and delivering to customers at scale. Data analytics experience for self‑serving insights. Compensation and Benefits The expected salary range for this role is CAD 137,500 to 186,100. Salary bands vary by region.
