Job Description Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Full Time Day Shift - TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital - $5k Sign-On Bonus! Location: 375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220 Work Schedule:
Our staffing model is designed to provide optimal care around the clock, with RNs, LPNs, ACTs, therapists, and social workers. We are available during day, evening, and night shifts. We offer twelve-hour shifts, with a twelve-hour shift every third weekend and a weekend option for those who prefer it.
We typically maintain an a verage patient-to-staff ratio of 1:5 . While we prefer nurses with psychiatric/behavioral health experience, we warmly welcome new graduates who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment. Join us at the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, where we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our patients through compassionate care and a collaborative team spirit. We offer a 5-6-week orientation that can be shortened or extended dependent upon the new team members learning needs. All new team members attend CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) which is TriHealth's de-escalation training offered by TriHealth.

- Full Time - (72 hours bi-weekly)
- 7am - 7:30pm
- 3rd or 4th Weekend rotation

Job Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required
- New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
- BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
- Registered Nurse
- Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs a various stages of the life cycle
- Preferred membership in related professional organization
- Relevant Psych/Behavioral Health RN experience strongly preferred but not required
- Preferred certification in specialty
- Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.
- Develop, communicate, and update individualized plans of care, including discharge planning.
- Provide safe, patient-centered care that supports autonomy, dignity, and diversity.
- Recognize and respond to emergencies and take appropriate clinical action.
- Carry out physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Complete assigned care and documentation within required timeframes.
- Administer medications/treatments safely and perform technical skills per policy.
- Evaluate patient responses and revise the plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately to other team members.
- Serve as a clinical resource and support training/education of staff and students.
- Maintain current clinical knowledge and adhere to organizational and departmental standards.
- Function in relief charge/resource roles as requested.
