Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication development as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This position is based near Morganton, NC and runs from ASAP through May 2027, offering consistency and the chance to make an enduring impact in the school community.

Your role will focus on providing expert speech-language services to a PreK-8th grade caseload of approximately 35-40 students. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized education plans, ensuring each child’s unique communication needs are met.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid SLP license (Speech-Language Pathologist – CCC required)
• School-based SLP experience preferred
• Understanding of PreK-8th grade student needs
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Ability to manage and document a moderate caseload efficiently

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations for speech and language disorders
• Develop and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct speech and language therapy for PreK-8th grade students, both in small groups and individually
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Communicate regularly with teachers and caregivers to support student success
• Maintain thorough, compliant documentation for all services provided
