Application Engineer

Position: Application Engineer (Electrical) (Midwest Territory) Farmington Hills, MI

We are a fast-growing company seeking a self-motivated and creative individual to join our team as an Application Engineer. Our engineers provide technical support to professionals throughout the Americas and across a range of industries. In this role, you will work closely with our Sales and Marketing team and Engineers in Japan to promote and support cutting-edge technologies in Lithium-Ion battery manufacturing, mobility and automotive, renewable energy, electronic components, and power electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess customer needs and provide appropriate solutions during the sales process.
• Provide technical assistance and promptly respond to customer inquiries.
• Work with Sales and Management to develop and implement revenue growth strategies.
• Create and deliver presentations, application notes, and white papers.
• Conduct product demonstrations and attend trade shows as needed.
• Recommend enhancements to our existing product line.
• Provide product training to internal sales associates, sales representatives, distributors, and end users.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in test and measurement, applications, electrical design, system integration, or a similar role.
• Proficiency with test and measurement instruments such as data acquisition equipment, battery testers, LCR meters, and power analyzers.

• Strong relationship-building skills with customers and internal teammates.
• Effective presentation skills in large and small settings.
• Strong writing skills to communicate with clarity and conviction.
• Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Must be open to travel domestically (25%) and internationally (5-10%) of the time.
• Experience in electronic component design, manufacturing, or testing, with emphasis on batteries, the automotive industry, or renewable energy is highly desirable.
