Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: RN license in hand for Auto Offer Description: Registered Nurse needed for a Progressive Care Unit. Applicants must have a valid nursing license. The assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks. Shifts are available in the night format. Nighting shifts can be either 3x12 or 4x12 hours. Candidates must possess BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates should have experience with a 1:4 patient ratio. The unit serves a diverse patient population. Typical diagnoses include cardiac conditions, respiratory issues, and complex medical-surgical cases. A virtual nursing model is utilized on the unit. Each patient has a bedside RN, a virtual RN, and a CNA. Patients with chronic conditions such as CHF, COPD, and Asthma are admitted. High flow nasal cannula and BiPAP management will be required. The unit also covers overflow for neuro and renal patients. Staff will float to lower acuity units as needed. Weekend coverage may be more frequent depending on staffing. Travelers will be guaranteed at least 60 hours per two weeks. Time off requests will be considered on an individual basis. References covering the previous year are required. Candidates are expected to adhere to the policies and procedures of the facility.
