Calibration Technician for AI Model Evaluation

Calibration Technicians apply hands-on calibration, testing, and metrology experience to evaluate AI-generated content, confirm technical accuracy, and provide detailed feedback so AI systems better reflect real-world calibration practices, quality requirements, and terminology. Key Responsibilities

• Use your practical experience calibrating, testing, and maintaining equipment to review AI-generated answers for technical accuracy, relevance, and completeness.
• Design and refine job-related questions or prompts that reflect real calibration and metrology workflows.
• Provide clear, written feedback that identifies errors, suggests corrections, and explains industry expectations and quality standards.
• Follow written instructions and quality guidelines while working independently on assigned evaluation tasks.

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Calibration Technician or in closely related metrology, instrumentation, or test and measurement roles.
• Hands-on experience performing calibrations, using reference standards and test equipment, and documenting results within established quality systems.
• Strong written communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgment, and maintain confidentiality for sensitive or proprietary information.
• No prior AI or machine learning experience is required.

• Engagement type, independent contractor status, not a full-time employee role.
• Fully remote, work from any location with a reliable internet connection and access to a desktop or laptop computer.
• Schedule is flexible and asynchronous, there is no minimum hourly commitment.
• Typical contributor involvement when assigned to an active project is approximately 5 to 20 hours per week, though actual hours vary by project.
• This is not a traditional full-time technician role; work is project-based and can be done alongside primary employment.

• Projects are available year-round across different subject areas, and new projects open periodically.
• Placement on specific projects depends on current project needs and qualifications.
• Qualified candidates may be considered for future projects as they become available, but assignment is not guaranteed.

• Pay is project-dependent, Up to $75/hr (depending on the project).

• F-1 students who have or will obtain CPT or OPT authorization may be eligible to participate, subject to your school and your Designated School Official guidance.
• If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not satisfy that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported for these projects.
• Confirm eligibility with your school official or the relevant help resources before applying.

• Complete identity verification as requested.
• Express interest in or apply to relevant calibration and metrology projects, and complete any project-specific onboarding steps.
• When selected, begin assigned evaluation tasks and submit work according to project instructions to receive payment.
