Interventional Radiology Registered NurseAt Saint Mary's Hospital, our Interventional Radiology Registered Nurses provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Working alongside radiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, RNs play a critical role in patient assessment, procedural support, conscious sedation administration, monitoring, recovery, and patient education throughout the continuum of care.What You Will DoAssess, monitor, and document patient conditions before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.Administer medications and conscious sedation in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.Provide continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring during procedures.Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, technologists, and healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective patient care.Deliver pre-procedure education and post-procedure instructions to patients and families.Minimum QualificationsRequiredGraduate of an accredited school of nursing.Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license.Current BLS/CPR certification.PreferredBachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).Previous Interventional Radiology experience.Three or more years of recent ICU, Critical Care, Emergency Department, or Cath Lab experience.Experience with conscious sedation and image-guided interventional procedures.Current ACLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).Position HighlightsPer Diem, Rotating ScheduleMonday through FridayOn-call opportunities availableSaint Mary's Hospital, serving the Waterbury community since 1909, is a Catholic, not-for-profit teaching hospital dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare.
