Conservative Media & Nonprofit Organization | Remote | Job #3689813-2 Compensation: $30/hour | 29 hours per week | Remote Position Overview: Republican Jobs is recruiting on behalf of a client, a conservative media-focused 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, seeking a creative and experienced Short-Form Video Editor to produce engaging video content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other digital platforms. The ideal candidate is a skilled video editor who understands short-form storytelling, social media trends, and audience engagement. This individual will transform long-form interviews, commentary, and editorial programming into compelling short-form clips designed to capture attention, increase engagement, and expand the organization's digital reach. This is a remote, part-time position requiring 29 hours per week , with availability during core Eastern Time business hours. Responsibilities: Edit engaging short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other social media platforms. Transform long-form interviews, panel discussions, and commentary segments into concise, compelling video clips. Identify strong hooks, memorable moments, and engaging segments suitable for short-form distribution. Incorporate captions, motion graphics, B-roll, transitions, and visual effects to enhance video quality. Optimize video pacing, formatting, and storytelling for audience retention, engagement, and platform performance. Collaborate with editorial, production, and social media teams to identify relevant clips and content opportunities. Ensure videos meet platform-specific formatting requirements, branding standards, and editorial guidelines. Manage multiple editing assignments simultaneously while meeting tight production and publishing deadlines. Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently while maintaining consistent production quality. Stay current with short-form video editing techniques, social media trends, and emerging platform features. Requirements: 2-4 years of professional video editing experience preferred. Advanced proficiency in DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro. Demonstrated experience producing short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of short-form storytelling, pacing, audience retention, and attention-grabbing hooks. Experience adding captions, motion graphics, B-roll, transitions, and visual effects. Ability to identify engaging clips from longer interviews, discussions, and commentary programs. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight production deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaborate with editorial teams in a remote environment. Reliable high-speed internet and access to equipment capable of professional video editing. Availability during core Eastern Time business hours required. Experience editing news, political commentary, digital media, or current events content preferred. Portfolio Requirement: Applicants must provide at least three examples of professionally edited short-form videos . Applications without relevant video samples may not be considered.
