Talon Recruiting has partnered with a National Heavy Equipment company. They are in search of a Shop Welder to join their team in Lansing, MI.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working in accordance with approved welding procedure data sheets (WPDS) on the shop floor
• Read drawings and engineering details
• TIG welding stainless steel piping
• Production welding, service & repair welding and prototype building
• Adhere to all safety policies and the use of all safe work practices

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Four (4) plus years in the welding industry
• Excellent safety record
• Proficient in TIG welding stainless steel piping
• Have a sound understanding of welding procedures and welding data procedures
• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly
• The ability to work in a team or independently as required
• Possesses intermediate computer skills, specifically with MS Office
• Possesses the ability to interpret engineering specifications an asset

Compensation & Benefits:

• $32/hour based on experience plus overtime
