SUNY Sullivan External Adjunct – Chemistry Position Description Job Summary: SUNY Sullivan is accepting applications for a part‑time, adjunct faculty position to teach General Chemistry. The individual must possess the ability to teach seated lecture and laboratory sections of General Chemistry I and II. These courses are scheduled to be taught on campus. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to the community college philosophy and a culture of belonging. Qualifications: Master's degree in chemistry or related sciences, Ph.D in chemistry or related sciences preferred At least three (3) years of teaching or equivalent experience Experience working in higher education environment preferred Duties and Responsibilities: Teach up to 14 contact hours of general chemistry courses, as well as potential additional courses related to the applicant's area of professional expertise Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and possess the ability to effectively interact with a diverse student and employee population Hold reliable, appropriate office hours Take part as needed in advising/mentoring students, developing curricula, recruiting students, and attending division and faculty meetings Application Process: Please submit your cover letter, resume or CV, statement of teaching philosophy, and the contact information including emails for 3 professional references. #J-18808-Ljbffr Sullivan County Community College
