Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role involves working in an outpatient setting, handling a variety of ultrasound procedures across different patient populations.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform vascular, OB, abdominal, DVT, carotid, and breast ultrasound procedures.
  
  
• 
  Scan patients ranging from pediatric to adult age groups, ensuring high-quality imaging.
  
  
• 
  Assist with invasive procedures such as thoracentesis and paracentesis.
  
  
• 
  Document procedures accurately within electronic medical records, such as EPIC.
  
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with facility protocols and maintain certification credentials.
  
  
• 
  Float as needed to various outpatient units, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Require at least 1 year of ultrasound experience, preferably in outpatient or community hospital settings.
  
  
• 
  Hold current ARDMS, BLS, and NY state license in hand prior to submission.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in basic ultrasound procedures including OB, abdominal, DVT, carotids, and breast imaging.
  
  
• 
  Preferred certifications include ARRT-Sonography, RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB, RDMS-BR, RDMS-Peds, and RVT.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work day shifts (4x10 hours) from 9:00 to 19:00, with call obligations every 3rd evening and weekend.
