Your Role and Responsibilities

• Administering thorough patient evaluations, initiating diagnostic assessments, and developing personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions, either autonomously or in consultation with physicians as warranted
• Providing education to patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and management of diseases
• Prescribing treatments and medications in accordance with your practice authority
• Engaging in follow-up visits and managing chronic care for patients
• Collaborating cohesively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Maintaining precise and detailed documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Prerequisites

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a comparable specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
