Because here’s the remarkable truth: When we all make together, we make all things possible.Let’s make.Job DescriptionWhat you’ll doDevelop and debug embedded firmware for bare-metal microcontroller, RTOS, System on Chip, and Single Board Computer systemsWork closely with project and product management to derive technical requirements from product requirementsWork with hardware engineering team to bring up new boards, systemsUse a data and statistical method to analyze and resolve design issuesWrite control system code for actuators (motors, solenoids, etc), including PID tuning and dynamic controlIntegrate and analyze sensor data (optical, thermal, reflective, etc.), focusing on signal processing and noise reductionTroubleshoot and debug low-level hardware interfaces such as USB, UART, SPI, I2C, PWM, and GPIODevelop internal tools (in C or C++) to aid testing, automation, and manufacturing processesParticipate in code reviews, documentation, and revision control to ensure high firmware quality and scalabilityCollaborate across engineering teams to support full product lifecycleQualificationsWhat we’re looking forBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (robotics/control emphasis preferred)5+ years of embedded firmware experience OR strong project/internship experience for new gradsStrong C programming skills; C++ and/or Assembly exposure a plusExperience with bare-metal microcontroller, FPGA, andReal Time Operating System developmentExperience with embedded solutions for electromechanical commercial electronics similar to Cricut’s products, for example:die cutters, plotters, printers, etc.Familiarity with electromechanical systems including actuators and precision controlStrong troubleshooting and debugging skills for low-level embedded systemsExcellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skillsComfortable working both independently and in a collaborative, hands-on environmentAdditional InformationWe’ve got you covered At Cricut, we take care of our people.
