Financial Systems AnalystThis position is focused on optimizing our enterprise finance, accounting and tax systems, in a techno-functional capacity. We are looking for a FSA who has a keen understanding of how to drive financial system optimization, through collaborating with business stakeholders, gathering requirements, designing technical solutions and workflows to meet these requirements, and partnering with vendors and internal engineers to ensure solution delivery. As such, we're looking for someone who has a keen understanding of best practices to drive the SDLC forward. Two of the major priorities over the coming years is migrating on-prem applications to Azure, and then driving more AI into applications. So you'll have an opportunity to get experience with both cloud migrations and AI in this role – any experience in these areas would be a nice to have, but not required by any means. We're also looking for someone who is proficient with SQL, and is comfortable porting data from Excel into enterprise databases. Any reporting experience would be a nice to have. This person will also be driving application testing, prior to coordinating the release of new features, so any application testing experience is a nice to have. Experience working with finance and accounting systems vendors is also a key responsibility, that we need this person to be comfortable driving forward. You will be working on a team of 4 (3 other team members are senior, so you'll get great support), supporting about 20-25 applications, with about 40-50 stakeholders.What You'll Be DoingPartner with business stakeholders and gather business requirements to understand and prioritize their needs, define the goals and objectives, and create a roadmap of projects for their assigned area.Transform and analyze business user needs into the necessary documentation (requirements, use cases, traceability matrix, design documentation, test scripts, etc.).Seek input of user experience and document current procedures and processes to determine potential improvements to their assigned products.Collaborate with the BI Team to analyze business process, matching with appropriate and available technical solutions, and support development and delivery of requested reporting output.Assist users with service requests, such as data uploads, simple data queries, resolve production system issues, etc.Answer an array of specific "How-To" questions related to applications in portfolio.Manage the lifecycle of their assigned products and applications, from inception to implementation, throughout production until retirement/upgrade.Create tickets with vendors and track the ticketing process through resolution.Perform new user setups, including creating user accounts and configuring appropriate security permissions and access levels; also includes modifying existing users based on role changes, user deactivation and terminations – for assigned applications.Perform regular reviews, reconciliations, and audits of user lists and access rights/roles to identify necessary edits are made to maintain highest level of adherence to security model governance.Skills We're Seeking2+ years of experience as a Financial Systems Analyst, or a similar techno-functional driving financial system optimizationMust have experience working with accounting systemsMust have the ability to write SQL queries, that are moderate in complexityMust be strong with Excel, and proficient with MS Word and PowerPointMust have experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders, and driving solutions to improve financial systems with cross functional teamsNice To HavesBachelor's Degree, ideally in Finance, Accounting or an IT related fieldExperience with Application TestingExperience with ReportingExperience with SQL database administrationProject Management experienceJira experienceAI experienceExperience with cloud migrations, ideally to AzureExperience with software integrations through APIsExperience with wireframing, and creating complex workflows with diagraming toolsExperience working with systems that have a global reach
