Project Engineer

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of engineering projects from initial concept through to completion. This role will suit an organised and technically capable professional who can coordinate multiple workstreams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.


Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, risk registers, cost forecasts, and technical documentation; coordinating design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning activities; and monitoring progress against agreed milestones. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients to resolve technical issues, manage changes, and maintain clear project communication. The role will also involve reviewing drawings, specifications, calculations, and method statements, supporting tender and procurement activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, quality procedures, and health and safety requirements.


Applicants should have a degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, together with experience in a project engineering or engineering delivery environment. Strong planning, problem-solving, and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret technical information and manage competing priorities. Experience using project management, scheduling, document control, and engineering software would be advantageous. You should be confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a practical, proactive approach and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
