Job Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: - Minimum of 24 months of current operating room experience - Experience in circulating and operating room required - Scrub experience highly preferred - Experience in General, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases required - Additional experience in Client, Orthopedics (primarily trauma), Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, ENT, and Vascular preferred - Trauma Level I experience highly preferred - Trauma Level II experience required - No first-time travelers; must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 15 months License: - Active Iowa or compact multistate nursing license required Certifications: - BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required Must-Have: - Work history/resume must include a minimum of 24 months of current operating room experience - Skills checklist must be specific to the discipline listed on the job (Operating Room Nurse, scrub/scrubbing) Description: We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse for a 13-week assignment. The candidate will work four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. Holidays may be required unless the unit is closed. The average caseload is between 35-50 cases per day. There is an expectation for turnovers to be less than 20 minutes. The nurse may be required to float across various locations. Experience in a Level I trauma center is preferred. This role involves both scrubbing and circulating responsibilities. Candidates should have recent experience with EPIC electronic medical records systems.
