Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Shipping Technician to join our Fibrebond team in Minden, LA!

You will work an average of 54 hours per week (including OT) between 6 am - 4:30 pm. There is overtime every other Saturday from 6 am - 2:30 pm. The hourly range for this position is $16.50-$18.50 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What You'll Do:

The Shipping Technician operates a forklift to move telecommunications shelters, prison modules, and other building units within the facility. They are responsible for directing movements of the straddle lift and communicate with other team members at the site verbally and using a radio to ensure safety of the team and product.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment, immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience operating a forklift, overhead crane, or other industrial power vehicles.

Ability to work overtime when required. Ability to lift to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations. Ability to ascend and descend from forklift/truck with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work outside in seasonal temperatures throughout the year. Strong communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets.
