Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active Illinois license required Certifications: ACLS and BLS required Must-Have: Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab experience required. Experience with circulating procedures and diagnostic catheterizations for adults. Knowledge of left heart catheterization, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, and right heart catheterization. Experience in procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, as well as monitoring procedural sedation. Cerner charting experience required. Description: Position available for a Cath Lab RN. The shift is 3x12 days from 06:30 to 19:00. The average daily census is around 25 patients in a 5-room unit. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Weekend work is required, specifically 2-3 weekends per contract. On-call duty is required as needed. Clinicians may float within their scope to meet facility needs. Schedule requests can be discussed with the manager. Candidates must have their active Illinois nursing license in hand to apply. RTO restrictions are ideally no more than 5 days. The client may call off up to 36 hours during the 13-week assignment without paying for the canceled hours. If more hours are canceled than permitted, the client will be billed. If candidates are placed on-call instead of being called off, that will count as a canceled shift. The facility is an acute care hospital with Level I trauma capabilities and Magnet status. The hospital has a total of 562 staffed beds and provides all necessary scrubs. Clinical modules are completed prior to starting and renewed annually. All required Day 1 modules must be completed by the specified deadline.
