Lead Business Systems Engineer

Salary: $85,000 - 105,000 per year Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience independently delivering and maintaining production integrations, internal applications, or business systems.
• Strong practical skills in Python and SQL, with the ability to work effectively in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with REST APIs, authentication, webhooks, scheduled jobs, and relational databases.
• Good judgment in protecting data integrity, including handling duplicates, incomplete data, retries, and partially completed operations.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications, using Git, reading logs, and managing configuration.
• Ability to turn operational problems into working solutions without requiring fully detailed specifications.
• Clear communication with nontechnical colleagues and a respectful approach to process changes.
• Ability to use AI development tools such as Claude Code or Codex responsibly, including reviewing, testing, and maintaining generated work.
• Willingness to work on the warehouse floor and remain involved after solutions launch.
• Particularly useful experience includes logistics, fulfillment, distribution, manufacturing, or e-commerce; Salesforce administration, Flow, Apex, or integrations; PostgreSQL, MySQL, Supabase, Docker, Windows automation, or Synology NAS; barcode printing, Zebra devices, equipment interfaces, or warehouse automation; and billing reconciliation, carrier-cost analysis, inventory controls, or operational reporting.
• Experience with every listed tool is not required; we value demonstrated ownership, sound technical judgment, and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems.

• Build and maintain integrations among Salesforce, warehouse and shipping platforms, carrier services, databases, and internal applications.
• Develop applications, scripts, and workflows that reduce manual effort and help employees complete work accurately.
• Investigate discrepancies in orders, inventory, shipping costs, and customer billing; establish repeatable checks, reconciliation processes, and exception reporting.
• Troubleshoot warehouse applications and integrations involving scanners, label printers, packing stations, cameras, and automated equipment, coordinating with vendors when specialist support is required.
• Manage testing, releases, monitoring, recovery procedures, and troubleshooting across hosted services, NAS containers, and Windows workstations.
• Work with warehouse, billing, and customer-service teams to understand workflows, simplify processes, and confirm improvements meet user needs.
• Coordinate with contributors and vendors, define acceptance criteria, and follow issues through to resolution.
• Maintain practical runbooks and train users and backup owners to support reliable operations.
• Learn critical systems, dependencies, and current issues; take ownership of routine troubleshooting and coordination.
• Deliver operational improvements through deployment and user adoption, improve monitoring, reduce recurring manual intervention, document key processes, and establish backup coverage.
• Help reduce the CEOs involvement in day-to-day technical execution and support longer-term goals of reliable systems, fewer recurring problems, and less manual work.
