Job Description
The position reports to the CETE Family Engagement Program Director. The position organizes efforts supporting, developing, and advancing the Center on Education and Training for Employment, Family Engagement team and the Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center grant in terms of research support, training development, project management, and community relationships with a dedicated focus on families of preK-12 students. Develops research-based resources such as workshops, print, and online resources for families, and professional development for school personnel and other professions in support of family-school partnerships. Primary focus is providing families with resources through outreach to family-serving organizations, direct outreach, and working with schools. Facilitates meetings of multiple stakeholder groups including family members, community organization representatives, school personnel, business professionals, researchers, and others. The position fosters and maintains relationships with multiple, diverse, internal, and external stakeholder groups at all levels of an organization. Collaborates with faculty and staff members to design and implement Translational Research projects to advance the evidence base for high quality, effective family and school engagement strategies. Assists with developing collaborations with state and local community organizations. Contributes to writing proposals and applications for funding. Assists with project data collection, management, analysis, and reporting requirements for both quantitative and qualitative data. Provides project management across multiple sponsored projects. Liaises with IT staff, communications personnel, faculty, staff, and graduate students. Traveling to locations within Ohio to meet with school personnel and community organizations, family outreach, data collection, or meeting support as needed. Works closely with team members and CETE staff to ensure positive and productive work environment. Other duties as assigned.

Assists with project data collection, management, analysis, and reporting requirements for both quantitative and qualitative data. Provides project management across multiple sponsored projects.
- 25% Facilitates meetings of multiple stakeholder groups including family members, community organization representatives, school personnel, business professionals, researchers, and others. The position fosters and maintains relationships with multiple, diverse, internal, and external stakeholder groups at all levels of an organization.
Required Experience
- Master's Degree or equivalent experience required; 3 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree, or 1 year of relevant experience required with Master's Degree in Elementary or Secondary Education, English Language Learners, Special Education, Social Work, Human Development, Family Studies, School Counseling, Family Finances or other related field
- Experience facilitating meetings/workshops with families, working in partnership with community organizations serving disadvantaged families and communities, and providing professional development to professionals.
- Experience in research project planning, qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience and knowledge of effective family-school engagement PreK through grade 12.
- Excellent communication and writing skills required.
- Experience using common Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with data analysis software.
- Experience with managing complex projects.
Desired Experience
- Foreign language skills highly recommended.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with IRB processes.
- Must be adaptable and have demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills.
Additional Information
Target Hiring Range for this position is $58,700 - $77,200
