AI/ML Engineer

* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify healthcare challenges and opportunities where AI/ML can make a significant impact.* Develop and implement AI/ML algorithms and models using existing Epic-built and in-house developed technologies.* Extract, transform, and preprocess healthcare data to build robust and accurate AI/ML models.* Collaborate with data scientists and clinicians to validate and optimize AI/ML models based on real-world healthcare data.* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and privacy standards related to healthcare data and AI/ML algorithms.* Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and healthcare domain knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement.* Other duties as assigned. **Knowledge, SKILLS, and Abilities:*** Bachelors in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data management, information systems, information science or a related quantitative field. Master’s degree preferred.* •3+ years background in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling.* Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks commonly used in AI/ML.* Experience in handling and analyzing healthcare data, including electronic health records (EHR), medical imaging, or genomic data.* Experience working with data science teams in refining and optimizing data science and machine learning models and algorithms.* Knowledge of healthcare regulations and privacy standards, such as HIPAA and GDPR.* Exposure to hybrid deployments: Cloud and On-Premises.* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.* Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.At Lurie Children’s, we are committed to competitive and fair compensation aligned with market rates and internal equity, reflecting individual contributions, experience, and expertise.
