Senior Mechanical Engineer

Sr. Mechanical Engineer – HealthcareFarnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer – Healthcare in one of the posting locations below. In this role, you will assume multi-project responsibilities for HVAC, plumbing, and specialty piping system engineering and design for healthcare and lab facilities. This role reports to an Engineering Manager who will also provide mentoring and training opportunities to help you grow your career. Posting Locations for this role: Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, or Greenwood Village (Denver Tech Center).What You'll Do:Prepare accurate HVAC, plumbing, and specialty piping system construction drawings and specifications for submittal review and construction administrationPrepare preliminary schematics and final designs, calculations, equipment selection and layoutMentor Junior EngineersCoordinate with production staffActively engage in and assume responsibility for code research and applicationInterface with other disciplines, clients, and contractorsMaintain project design budgets and schedules while pursuing quality and continuityWhat You'll Need:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering10 - 20 years of professional experience in healthcare design.Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)Wide range of healthcare design experience, including plumbing and medical gasesGood communication skills and ability to lead a small team of talented engineersAbility to work on multiple, simultaneous projectsFamiliarity with Facilities Guidelines Institute requirements for healthcareWho We Are:Join Farnsworth Group, a nationally recognized architectural, engineering, and surveying firm, where your career can thrive!
