Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
• Previous experience supporting students with visual impairments in educational settings

• Ability to travel between sites within Delaware County
• Solid organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative services to a diverse caseload of school-aged students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Assess student needs and progress, adapting materials and instructional methods as necessary
• Provide training and resources to classroom teachers and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, goals, and student performance

This assignment offers a consistent schedule of approximately 30 hours per week, allowing you to support students throughout the Broomall and greater Delaware County region in an itinerant capacity.
