General Laborer

A general laborer will perform production work such as working in the saw area, operating forklifts and loaders, as well as assisting the coating line. A general laborer may also work and assist in other positions throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist head saw man with operating saw line Operate loader to supply raw materials to production line Assist coating crew with coating, banding, and palletizing materials Perform basic preventative maintenance on assigned equipment Assist with inventory control and daily production reporting

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain a clean and organized work area Maintain overall acceptable attendance Any and all other tasks assigned by management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to follow instructions and direction Ability to work at a high pace Ability to stand, walk, bend, turn, squat, reach, climb stairs for 8 – 10 hours per day Ability to lift up to 60 lbs Ability to read and utilize measuring devices Ability to operate simple hand tools Ability to work in extreme temperatures (Winter-cold and Summer-hot)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum basic reading and math skills H.S. Diploma or equivalent preferred

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
