Hiring Manager Notes for this Role:

Must need: Working within a financial service / Previous background in finance, capital markets, accounting background and local to DMV region

HM Notes:

• Working in fast pace – handle multiple projects in different domains
  • Previous experience that has worked in a complex environment
• True IT PM/Project coordinator role
• Work on AI projects in the future
• Hands on SQL queries but be comfortable in capital markets in data specifically financial division
  • Single families, multifamily LOB's
• A lot of projects are about data (25% of the work)
  • Migrating data and looking at the queries and understand what they are doing and pass the information along
  • Moving traditional to Snowflake and responsible
• Supporting AI governance in the future
• PM/coordination across multiple domains and document for reporting purposes and relevant background in DA then can leverage that
  • PM & reporting
• Part of the PMO team within Capital Markets
• 1st Round IV will be a panel interview; 2nd Round would be senior management of 1-2 people

Must Haves:

• 7+ years of IT project manager
• Working within a financial service
  • Previous background in finance, capital markets, accounting background
• Excel experience
  • Can put the information together for a presentation for higher level management
• DA background
  • Reporting experience
  • Will not be writing queries but looking at the data and read the complex data
• Strong communication
  • Strong attention detail

Plusses:

• Broad level of operational risk MGMT
• Experience in Tableau, PowerBI
• AI experience

Day to Day:

• Analyze, interpret, and visualize data to support business decisions within capital markets processes.
• Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.
• Prepare clear, concise management reports and executive presentations for status and milestone updates.
• Liaise with stakeholders across business and technical teams to gather requirements, manage expectations, and communicate progress.
• Track project progress, identify risks/issues, and propose solutions to keep initiatives on track.
• Support process improvements by analyzing current workflows and recommending data-driven enhancements.
• Ensure documentation of project requirements, changes, and outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of capital markets operations, products, and data flows.

Additional Information:

• 4-8 years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst, Project Coordinator, or similar role in Financial Services industry.
• Strong understanding of capital markets processes and data (e.g., trade lifecycle, settlements, market data, financial instruments).
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills; experience collaborating with functional teams.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Proficient in preparing management reports and executive-level presentations (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and project management software (e.g., JIRA, MS Project) is a plus
