Instructional Assistant - Zachary, LA

Job Description

Make a real difference supporting students with a rewarding contract opportunity as a Paraprofessional near Zachary, LA. This role invites compassionate, dedicated individuals to work in a dynamic school environment, providing essential one-on-one and small group assistance for students. The contract begins as soon as possible and continues through May 20, 2027, offering both stability and purpose in your career. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, you'll become an integral part of the educational journey for the school community.

Qualifications & Credentials:

Previous experience working with children or students in educational settings, ideally as a Paraprofessional
Valid and active Paraprofessional certification (or credentials as required by state guidelines)
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
A caring, patient approach and a passion for helping students succeed
Ability to work consistently throughout the school year

Key Responsibilities:

Provide academic and behavioral support to individuals and small groups within the classroom
Assist with implementing lesson plans and reinforcing classroom routines
Support students with special needs or IEPs as directed by teaching staff or specialists
Help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Communicate observations and student progress to the teaching team
