Mechatronics & Robotics Technician

Job Title Mechatronics & Robotics Technician Responsibilities This role supports the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging/distribution equipment throughout the building. Safety: Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment (MHE). Monitoring: Create, assign, and close work orders, track labor hours, equipment maintenance, parts used, and inventory. Support: Mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles. Communication: Maintain positive working relationships across the Operations facility. Qualifications Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience repairing material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of experience performing predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 1+ year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading. 1+ year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree or higher from a vocational school or college with a focus on mechanical or electrical fields. Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with OEM. Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions. Physical Demands Reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, use aerial lifts, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Perform tasks while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes. Crouch or bend and reach to install or move equipment. Move between departments, floors, and properties, averaging 6 to 12 miles per day. Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures. Type on a computer for 1-2 hours per day. Compensation Salary range: $23.87–$28.08 per hour, dependent on location, experience, and other factors. Minimum wage will not be paid.
