Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

Medtronic seeks engineering interns for a paid, full-time summer program lasting 10–11 weeks across multiple U.S. locations. Interns support research and development, operations, or quality engineering, gaining exposure to medical device design, manufacturing processes, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities
- Support design, development, analysis, and testing of medical device engineering solutions
- Contribute to system integration, verification, validation, and risk analysis activities
- Assist with safety testing, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing transfer support
- Design and support manufacturing processes, equipment, and production layout optimization
- Develop quality standards and protocols for materials, components, and finished products
Requirements
- Currently pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in biomedical, mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, materials science, or related discipline
- Anticipated graduation between Winter 2027 and Spring 2029
- Currently authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available
- Prior experience in engineering design, testing, manufacturing, quality, or product development
- Familiarity with engineering software, CAD, programming, or laboratory equipment
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
Compensation: Competitive compensation; full-time paid position for 10-11 weeks
