Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianMission Linen Supply is currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, repairing, maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting industrial equipment such as washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers.This position performs preventive maintenance that includes welding, boiler chemical testing and making necessary chemistry adjustments, resolving safety concerns, and preparing maintenance records. This in-plant position requires strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, the ability to work with varied mechanical/electrical systems, and strong leadership skills. Mission is widely recognized for understanding and anticipating its customers' needs while providing environmentally friendly goods and services, which means real, ongoing stability for the people who keep our plants running.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for routine preventive maintenance on the property to ensure plant machines continue to run smoothlyResponsible for morning start-up and evening shutdown of equipment, including the boiler, air compressor, power, pumps, and valvesHandles regular maintenance of lint traps, shaker screen barrels, oil levels, grease fittings, and water levelsResponsible for completing all general and basic repairs on the machineryFollows the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule and documents the processIdentifies and reports all other major repairs that need to be completed on the machineryCompensationStarting pay: $20–$25/hour, based on education, experience, other qualifications, and location of assignmentScheduleFull-time, Monday through FridayBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement savings programPaid time off (sick, holiday, vacation)Full-time employment with full benefitsQualificationsHigh school diploma requiredMinimum of 2 years of maintenance engineering experience, with specific knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, welding, and boiler applicationsExperience with mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and reading repair manuals and schematicsMission will provide additional training in Steam Boiler, Electrical, Pneumatic, Schematics, Maintenance, Welding, and Plumbing for candidates who need itPhysical RequirementsThis role requires standing or moving through the plant during the workday. Maintenance tasks will require some stooping, pulling, pushing, and working in cramped areas.
