Patient Care Associate (Days) - Spaulding

Job Summary Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. Key Responsibilities Assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested. Completes all documentation in the medical record as required. Interacts with patients and their families effectively. Helps patients with basic hygiene tasks, including bathing and dressing, using the toilet if needed, and feeding. Assists patients with turning, repositioning in bed, and moving between bed and wheelchair. Listens to health concerns patients may have and reports them to the nurses. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Licenses and Credentials Basic Life Support (BLS Certification) – required Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification) – preferred Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (Massachusetts) – preferred Nursing Assistant (Massachusetts Board of Nursing) – preferred Experience Experience working in patient care/elder care 1-2 years preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong patient/customer service skills. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Proficient computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records. Compensation $750 Sign-On Bonus. Day Shift; 07:00a to 3:30p.
