Automation TechnicianBosch Location Lincolnshire, IL Division Drive and Control Technology Work Mode On-Site Fields of work Manufacturing Join as Production & Warehouse Workers Contract Type Unlimited Working time Full-time Compensation According to agreementYour tasks:Detect and assess problems: resolve; debug; troubleshoot; to provide solutions to automated systems, robotic malfunctions, and reliability issuesWork independently with little to no direction to determine and implement corrective actions on equipment and processesEnsure proper safety procedures are always in use and utilized / followedPerform equipment start-ups and shutdowns, modifications, and upgrades on all automation systemsRespond in a timely manner to all issues to ensure productivity and efficiency of automated systemsProvide technical support to improve equipment operations and performanceMaintain all production equipment in good, clean, and functioning conditionApply appropriate preventative maintenance (PM) methods in planned and unplanned maintenance requestsUnderstand and analyze interactions between all components and systems: mechanical, servo, robotic, electrical, etc.Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly fashionUnderstand the operation and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLC), as well as servo drives, vision systems, laser marking systems, etc.Assist in implementation of new equipment and sub-assembly systemsWork cooperatively with the Manufacturing teamOther projects as assigned by manager PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lift and move up to 40 pounds without assistanceMust have sharp hearing and ability to discern tones at various levels WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work time is spent in a manufacturing environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to highExposure to oil, oil odor and some sealants such as LoctiteMust be able to wear safety glasses, latex gloves and safety shoes as requiredThe hourly pay range for this position is $25 to $30 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Plus a $2 shift premium for working second shift.The standard schedule for this position is 3:00pm-11:30pm, Monday- Friday.
