A global chemical manufacturer is hiring a Maintenance And Reliability Engineer to ensure the integrity and reliability of plant equipment. This role develops analysis methods, identifies problem areas, and leads improvement plans, including the site's Mechanical Integrity program, to maintain plant efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Schedule: Full-time.
Compensation: $125,000 to $150,000 per year, plus bonus.
What You'll Do:
This engineer provides technical support and guidance for maintenance activities to drive plant reliability, analyzing equipment performance data, identifying bad actors, and implementing corrective actions. The role develops and oversees preventive maintenance and mechanical integrity programs, leads Root Cause Analysis sessions and reliability improvement initiatives, and tracks key performance indicators such as Mean Time Between Repair. This position manages and promotes compliance with ISO 9000 and the company's safety program, and participates in Process Hazard Analysis, incident investigations, and Management of Change reviews. The engineer oversees site inspections, ensures adherence to planned maintenance schedules, and coordinates with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain plant operations. This role also facilitates reliability review meetings and provides training in reliability principles, and manages small capital projects up to $150,000 while contributing to cost reduction efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of process equipment, including pumps, compressors, piping, vessels, exchangers, and relief valves
- Experience with reliability methodologies, mechanical integrity programs, and maintenance best practices
- Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement cost-effective solutions
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP or other maintenance management systems
Compensation and Benefits:
- $125,000 to $150,000 per year, plus 20% company bonus target
