Job Title

Travel RN – Trauma / Emergency Department (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Weekends Required

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Trauma Nurse Lead in the emergency room environment, managing patients through initial primary and secondary survey periods across 2 trauma bays
• Operate advanced equipment including Level 1 rapid infuser, HOT LINE, EKG, GE CareScape ultrasound, Hamilton ventilator, CAT tourniquet, and Alaris IV pump
• Perform and assist with procedures including IV placement, spinal stabilization, splinting, chest tube assistance, traction, and central/arterial line placement
• Run mass transfusion protocols through the Level 1 rapid infuser and provide OR assistance when needed
• Document all patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Function effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced trauma environment requiring rapid critical thinking and strong IV skills

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Georgia (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of ED/Trauma nursing experience required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – current and required
• ACLS – required
• BLS – required
• PALS – required
• Proficiency with Meditech documentation system
• Required uniform: Red top / Black bottom scrubs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification preferred
• Experience running mass transfusion protocols and operating a Level 1 rapid infuser
• Background assisting with emergency bedside and OR procedures
• Demonstrated ability to perform rapid critical thinking in high-acuity, high-stress trauma environments
