Temporary Hospice CNA – 8-Week Assignment
Locations: Yadkin and Elkin Service Areas
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week
Duration: 8 weeks | Start ASAP
Mountain Valley Hospice is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for a defined, short-term hospice assignment . This role is ideal for a CNA who wants meaningful work with a predictable weekday schedule—without weekends, or a long-term commitment.
Position Highlights
- $25/hour (non-benefited)
- Monday–Friday only
- No weekends. No on-call.
- Mileage reimbursement at $0.70 per mile
- 8-week commitment with clear expectations
- Supportive interdisciplinary team and established workflows
What You’ll Do
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients and families
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse
- Follow individualized care plans and hospice protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
What We’re Looking For
- Active CNA certification
- Hospice or home health experience preferred
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Organized, dependable, and patient-centered
