Setting our people up for success is a priority, and we are currently recruiting AI and Data Engineering Summer Scholars whose skills and interests align with the below description: AI and Data Engineering Summer Scholar This Summer Scholar architects, designs, develops, and deploys enterprise solutions that span the full spectrum of Artificial Intelligence, including Chatbots, Virtual Assistants, Machine Learning, and Cognitive Services. This role combines deep expertise in advanced algorithms and scientific methods to build intelligent systems capable of interpreting data, making decisions, and uncovering actionable business insights. By merging expertise in AI, data engineering, and enterprise architecture, this Scholar empowers organizations to leverage data-driven intelligence and scalable solutions to meet evolving business and agency needs. A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team Effective written and verbal communication skills Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product Ability to build and sustain professional relationships Ability to lead projects or workstreams Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor Ability to meet deadlines Ability to provide clear guidance to others The team Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice serves government agencies, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other public sector organizations. Teams work across strategy, operations, technology, and transformation efforts to help clients improve mission outcomes and organizational performance. Qualifications Required: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2028 pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computational Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related/equivalent program Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required) You must reside within a commutable distance (e.g. 100-mile radius) of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment. Preferred: Internship, project, or coursework experience in artificial intelligence, computer science, computational engineering, data science, machine learning, or robotics. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
