Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor (40 Hour)

Position Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor within the Evidence‑Based Practices and Grants Division, Office of the Commissioner, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Highlights Facility: Office of the Commissioner Department: Evidence‑Based Practices and Grants Division Location: 410 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106 Schedule: Full‑time, 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday Position Number: 00023614 What We Can Offer You Professional growth and development opportunities Healthy work/life balance for all employees Role This role reports to the Director of Program Management Services and involves statewide monitoring of evidence‑based and best‑practice behavioral health services. Key responsibilities include: Providing statewide monitoring of evidence‑based and best‑practice behavioral health services (mental health/substance use) such as Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Conducting fidelity reviews of evidence‑based models such as Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), Supported Employment Services, Community Support Programs, co‑occurring disorders services, and psychiatric rehabilitation Providing contract monitoring and oversight of peer‑led and peer‑run organizations Monitoring data reports and outcome measures Assisting with writing and submitting grant applications, contract monitoring, fiscal activities, and budget development Assisting with the implementation of evidence‑based practices, including training throughout the state within the DMHAS system of care Qualifications General: Four (4) years of professional experience in behavioral health care and a Master’s degree in a clinical discipline, public health administration, health care administration, or hospital administration Special: Two (2) years of that experience must include supervising professional staff (equivalent to a Behavioral Health Unit Supervisor, Developmental Services Supervisor of Case Management, Nurse Supervisor, or Supervising Clinician) Preferred Qualifications Experience with Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams Experience with contract development and oversight Experience with data collection and data management Experience with project management Experience with program development and implementation Experience delivering clear, strategic written and verbal communication to internal stakeholders and external partners Special Requirements Department of Developmental Services: May need current license for clinical social work, marital and family therapist, professional counselor, registered nurse, or psychologist Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services: Must maintain current license for clinical social work, marital and family therapist, professional counselor, registered nurse, psychologist, or alcohol and drug counselor Medical Screening A comprehensive medical examination, including a drug screening, is required of all applicants upon a conditional offer of employment.
