The goal of this position is to effectively assume teaching responsibilities for students placed on homebound instruction due to a medical condition and certification provided by a physician. The instruction takes place in the student's home only on school days and/or during school hours during the time period indicated by the physician on the medical certification. Ideal Candidate Effectively implement the lesson plans provided by a teacher and/or create lesson plans appropriate to provide the student exposure to the same curriculum as their peers. Translate lesson plans into learning experiences to best use the available time for instruction and meet the student's educational needs. Maintain established standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere. Maintain professional competence and confidentiality. Report to the teacher/home school building through written communication about the activities completed during the homebound instruction. Requirements Elementary Education K-9 preferred. Must provide own transportation.
