Dialysis RN at Altru Rehabilitation Hospital provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing hemodialysis, ensuring personalized care plans and patient education. The role requires collaboration within an interdisciplinary team in a supportive healthcare environment focused on rehabilitation and patient quality of life. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to inpatients receiving hemodialysis. Supervise care and treatments, conduct patient assessments, create personalized care plans, and address patient concerns. Build rewarding relationships with patients by understanding their physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in their recovery. Educate nursing staff on the care of the hemodialysis patient, equipment use, and standards of care. Qualifications Current RN licensure as required by state regulations. CPR certification. ACLS certification within one year of hire. CRRN certification preferred (training provided if not held). Minimum six months of dialysis nursing experience required.
