Registered Nurse - ICU Stepdown

Schedule

This position features a night shift with a schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a fast-paced ICU Stepdown unit that manages patients post-rapid response. The ideal candidate will have strong drip experience and be capable of working independently in a high-acuity environment, with a focus on hemodynamic stability and managing complex patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Managing arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips.
• Providing telemetry care, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Administering blood products and managing central and peripheral lines.
• Utilizing IV insulin protocols and managing rapid response protocols.
• Monitoring and managing patients with respiratory distress and unstable hemodynamics.
• Collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or stepdown environment.
• ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience with conscious sedation and telemetry monitoring.
• Ability to manage complex patient conditions, including post-surgical complications.
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start.
