Experience: Minimum 1 year License: NY license required Certifications: BLS, RRT Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience required 1:20 - Epic charting system experience preferred - Experience in adult critical care and emergency department required

Description: Willing to rotate between acute and long-term care. Work three twelve-hour shifts each week with every other weekend. Patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and respiratory infections. Special procedures include ABG sampling, ventilator management, patient assessment, and pulmonary hygiene. Familiarity with special equipment such as Hamilton vent, Servo-U vent, NKV330, Airvo2, and Dream machines is required. Experience with airway management devices and suctioning techniques is necessary. Knowledge of nebulizer therapies and oxygen therapies is essential. Ventilator management experience, including BiPAP, CPAP, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, is required. Call duty may be required, with nights if possible, approximately one every other week. Weekend coverage is necessary, with at least six weekend shifts per 13-week contract. Candidates may need to float between units. Candidates with a background in community hospital and LTAC experience are preferred. Trauma Level I and II experience is also preferred.
