Sr. Technology Specialist – Schaumburg/Chicagoland or I-80 Corridor Locations

American Commercial Bank & Trust is currently seeking candidates for an opening in our IT Department for a Technology Specialist to support our 175 employees across 11 Illinois locations. This role will interact daily with all staff members as well as external MSSP and VoIP vendors. The IT team is committed to providing excellent service with timely responsiveness and with emphasis on exceptional ongoing support for internal clients. Seeking candidates with excellent internal customer service skills interfacing with all levels of users and executive management, both oral and written, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical troubleshooting and support for a wide variety of issues whether onsite, via remote control software, telephone or Teams meetings. Also seeking candidates who can work independently to accomplish assigned tasks and projects, and who thrive on strong collaboration in a team environment.

Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, hours will fluctuate with assigned tasks, projects, and unexpected problem resolution.

Key job duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Independently troubleshoot issues related to PC and printer hardware and software that arise. Involve other IT team members, MSSP's, and other vendors as necessary.
• Independently troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and general network communications. Involve other IT team members, MSSP's, and other vendors as necessary.
• Assist with generation, maintenance, and presentation of compliance and audit reporting for all endpoints
• Assist with new application and associated cloud implementations
• Evolving Responsibilities: Responsibilities are defined at time of hire and subject to change as the organization scales and new IT responsibilities develop.

Education

• Minimal requirement is a high-school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in Information Technology and/or related certifications a plus.

Experience, Skills, Abilities:

• Prior IT business experience at an IT Help Desk or equivalent.
• Advanced proficiency with PC and printer hardware repair and troubleshooting, Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Chrome, and Edge, on premise Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and network communications.
• Experience with M365 Tenant configurations, Data backup and restoration, VoIP telephone systems, device encryption implementation, and patch and vulnerability management desired.
• Familiarity with Azure Server and Active Directory cloud migration, VMWare, SharePoint, Layer 2/Layer3 data switch VLAN and QOS/COS configuration, and SASE architecture desired, but not necessary.
• Excellent Client Service and communication skills with ability to interface with all levels of Bank staff, senior management, auditors, regulators, and vendors for optimal project management, issue resolution, and task follow-up.
• Ability to contribute to a team environment and collaborate with IT Team members for daily success of IT support and the organization ensuring department service expectations are met.
• Independent problem solving and multi-tasking capabilities.
• Ability to travel to all Bank locations as needed.
• Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs. when handling IT equipment, servers, and hardware shipments.
