Axia Electric Axia Electric headquartered in Riverside, California, is a leader in heavy civil and industrial electrical construction, serving public and private owners across water/wastewater, transportation, transit, renewable energy, and power generation markets. Over the past decade, Axia team has grown tremendously, securing major projects, including the $350 million North City Pure Water Facility in San Diego and the $235 million EVMWD Regional Water Reclamation Facility Expansion Project in Lake Elsinore, CA. We specialize in complex, large-scale systems requiring deep expertise in power distribution, instrumentation & controls, and integrated commissioning. We are rapidly growing into the Mission Critical workspace and seeking to grow a team knowledgeable in Data Center construction. Responsibilities The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and schedule daily tasks for a team of BIM coordinators and modelers. BIM Execution: Establish, implement, and enforce project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BxP) and modeling standards. Clash Resolution: Lead multi-discipline coordination meetings to identify and resolve spatial conflicts between structural and hyper-complex MEP systems. Mission-Critical Focus: Ensure precise modeling of data center infrastructure, including containment systems, high-density cable trays, cooling pathways, and backup generators. Model QA/QC: Audit models regularly to guarantee data integrity, proper naming conventions, and compliance with strict LOD (Level of Development) 350/400 requirements. Cross-Functional Liaison: Collaborate directly with project managers, field superintendents, design engineers, and client stakeholders to resolve technical challenges. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: BA/BS degree + 6 years of relevant BIM/VDC experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Strong understanding of heavy industrial MEP systems, including chilled water loops, medium-voltage distribution, and structural layouts. Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and client locations as required Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience dedicated specifically to data centers or complex mission-critical facilities. Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360). Exceptional communication and leadership skills required to run high-stakes coordination meetings and drive accountability. Additional Information: Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. The salary range for this position is between $120,000 to $175,000 depending on experience and/or education.
