Commercial Lines Production Binding Underwriter Job Summary Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Production Binding Underwriter to join a growing team. This role is focused on new business production and offers an exciting opportunity to build and grow a book of business from the ground up. The ideal candidate will possess strong marketing capabilities, proven sales ability, and a drive to succeed in a competitive environment. Compensation Package Base Salary: $80,000 – $105,000 (potential to reach $125,000+ for candidates with a significant book of business and strong relationships) Bonus Structure: Commission eligibility begins once the producer generates 2x their base salary in revenue and covers support staff costs. Responsibilities Build, maintain, and grow a book of business. Manage agency relationships and serve as the lead client contact. Develop and execute a marketing plan to increase new and renewal business. Rate, quote, and bind each risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing for large or complex renewals and new business. Develop and submit underwriting referrals to company brokerage facilities and management. Monitor key metrics to formulate corrective actions impacting new business hit rates, renewal retention, premium growth, and loss ratios. Lead, train, and develop Assistant and Associate Underwriters or Brokers. Qualifications / Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in commercial lines underwriting or brokerage, with excess & surplus experience preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in sales and marketing. Proven organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Interest in continued education and professional development. Insurance license, CPCU, CIC, or comparable designations preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
