Job Summary

The primary purpose of the Cook position is to prepare quality food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, federal, state, and local standards/regulations as may be directed by the Head Cook and/or Dietary Services Supervisor.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As an Arboreta Cook, essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
• Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
• Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

Qualifications including minimum skills, experience and education required include:

• A job for which military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
