Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour; Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: State RRT Certification Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP Must-Have: EPIC experience required Description: Local RRT differs with variable shifts, days, and nights. Candidates must possess a California RRT license. BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required. Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory. A minimum of 2 years of experience is necessary. Candidates will be required to work every other or every third weekend. The patient ratio is 2 to 1 during days and nights. Floating between units is not required. Call is not required. Weekend coverage is necessary. Pre-approved time off is allowed. Candidates will care for patients primarily with acute on chronic respiratory failure. Experience with EEG, EKG, and bronchoscopies is preferred. Familiarity with various equipment such as Drager, V60, Airvo, SiPaP, and Nihon Kohden is essential. The role involves adult critical care and administering respiratory therapies. Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary for interdisciplinary support. Candidates should comply with onboarding requirements and provide accurate work history. Experience in various patient age groups is preferred, including neonates to geriatrics. The role demands effective management of respiratory conditions and emergencies.
