PowerPoint Automation/InDesign Data Merge Specialist -

Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Adobe InDesign Data Merge Specialist to automate the production of customized brochures using spreadsheet data. The goal is to create an accurate, repeatable process that reduces manual editing and maintains consistent design and formatting.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an automated workflow capable of generating customized 30–35-page PowerPoint presentations.
• Analyze our existing PowerPoint presentations to understand their structure, formatting, content organization, branding, and messaging requirements.
• Develop a reusable presentation framework that maintains consistency while allowing each client's unique information to be incorporated.
• Automate the population of presentation sections, including company overviews, investment strategies, acquisition criteria, industry focus, growth objectives, and other relevant information.
• Preserve existing visual elements, including tables, graphics, charts, logos, formatting, and corporate branding.
• Ensure generated presentations remain fully editable within Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Accommodate variable content lengths without compromising presentation quality or layout.
• Provide clear instructions and a brief training session so our team can maintain templates and run future merges.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing automated PowerPoint or document-generation solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, including templates, slide layouts, formatting, and programmatic presentation generation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data mapping, structured datasets, and mail-merge workflows.
• Experience developing batch-generation systems for high-volume, personalized marketing campaigns.

Expected Deliverables

• Demonstrate the complete automation process using representative client information and sample CRM/Excel prospect data.
• Successfully generate a complete 30–35-page PowerPoint presentation.
• Demonstrate successful mail merging across multiple prospect records.
• Verify that the generated presentations maintain the quality, formatting, personalization, and functionality of our existing materials.
• Resolve identified errors before final implementation.
• Sample merged brochures demonstrating accurate text and image placement.
