Patient Care TechnicianHours of Work: 36hrs/weekDays Of Week: Monday-Friday; alternating weekendsWork Shift:Job Description:Job PurposeThe Patient Care Technician under the direction of the professional staff, assists with patient care to provide support to the patient, nursing unit and professional staff.Job Requirements:Education:High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required1 year experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility OrGraduate from a certified nursing assistant program OrCertified Medical Assistant program OrNursing student who documents completion of the first semester of a Nursing Program OrDocumented military experience as a medic/corpsman OrForeign Nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S OrEMT Certification/Paramedic LicenseLicenses and/or Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, RequiredMethodist Southwest Medical Center, previously known as Methodist Charlton Medical Center, is a 314-bed, full-service, acute care teaching hospital that serves Cedar Hill, DeSoto, Duncanville, Lancaster, and Glen Heights in southwestern Dallas County.
