Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic

Job TitleJob DescriptionHelpPerform Repairs and Overhauls on Heavy Mobile Equipment: Carry out troubleshooting, repair, and reassembly of major components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, hydraulic systems, braking systems, and powertrain assemblies with minimal supervision.Diagnose Mechanical, Electrical, and Hydraulic Malfunctions: Use technical practices, test equipment (oscilloscopes, compression gauges, computer analyzers), and visual/auditory indicators to identify issues and determine the extent of required repairs.Interpret Technical Manuals, Schematics, and Specifications: Read and apply technical diagrams, service manuals, and specifications to correctly measure, fit, install, and adjust parts and systems.Operate, Inspect, and Service Heavy Equipment: Operate a variety of gasoline and diesel-powered engineering and construction equipment; perform safety inspections, servicing, and fueling prior to operation to ensure equipment readiness.Use and Maintain Tools and Test Instruments: Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and diagnostic instruments to repair, or rebuild vehicle systems while maintaining tools in safe working condition.Troubleshoot, Prioritize, and Complete Work Orders Independently: Perform repairs through work order systems, determine repair priorities based on equipment condition and mission needs, and complete tasks thoroughly with minimal return work or oversight.
